Ceramano was founded in 1959 in Ransbach-Baumbach by Jakob Schwaderlapp, who had also founded Jasba in 1926.

They have produced a large number of realistic forms and glazes, and are still popular among collectors today.

Key designers included Hanns Welling, who helped found Ceramano and worked there until 1961, and Gerda Heuckeroth.

Hanns Welling was already a popular designer at Ruscha in the 1950s, and at Ceramano he continues to create stunning pieces with his outstanding glaze designs.
