This is a beautiful "Bitossi" vase with a fusion of blue and green.
This piece was created by Italian ceramist Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the 1950s and 1960s.
The product number is 727/21. The last 21 represents the height (21cm).
It is very thickly made and has a lot of weight.
There is some glazing peeling on some corners, please see the pictures.
I think the crack at the top has been there since it was first made.
Brand
[Bitossi]
It is an Italian ceramics manufacturer founded in 1921.
In 1946, Aldo Londi became art director and established a mass production system incorporating artisanal techniques.
"Rimini Blu" is a blue-based design created by Aldo Londi at Bitossi, and expresses the beautiful blue of the Adriatic Sea as seen from the city of Rimini in Italy.
Rimini Blue is still produced today, but due to various improvements in manufacturing methods, the current product has a slightly different texture than vintage Rimini Blue.
