Its defining feature is its rugged, spiky texture, and this roughness is expressed by using crushed actual volcanic rock.

Reykjavik city center until 1971 The pottery factory located on Odinstraat moved to Hofty and successfully expanded its business.
Glit's management had high artistic ambitions from the very beginning, and as a result, it was run to a high standard from the very beginning. Many of the most important artists of the 20th century worked at GLIT, and it is recorded as a nurturing place for the arts, especially during Ragnar's time in charge of the Odinstrasse manufacturing workshop.
