Wall Lamp “Ifö Electric / Hans-Agne Jakobsson”

This wall lamp was produced by the Swedish lighting manufacturer Ifö Electric in the 1960s and 1970s. It was originally sold for bathrooms.
A combination of pale yellow ceramic and opal glass.
The opal glass gives off a soft glow.

The designer is Hans-Agne Jakobsson, one of Sweden's leading interior designers.

His most famous work is the Jacobson Lamp, made from thinly sliced ​​pine, but he also designed two models for Ifö Electric.
This time we have one of them in stock.

Although ceramic and glass are cold materials, they emit a very warm light. I hope that they will be used in a variety of places, not just bathrooms.

Unusually for a vintage item, we have two of the same item in stock. We also recommend placing the two side by side.

Designer

[Hans-Agne Jakobsson]

Born in 1919 on the Swedish island of Gotland.
After working as an interior designer at a Swedish shipyard, he worked as a designer for General Motors in Finland.
In 1951, he founded Hans-Aune Jacobson GmbH and began developing and manufacturing lighting fixtures.
In 1957, he designed and manufactured lighting fixtures using thinly sliced ​​Scandinavian pinewood, and founded the company Eliset. This lighting fixture, the "Elise Series," became his signature work and has been selected for permanent collections in art museums around the world.
