After working for a lighting manufacturer called Luko, he joined Granhaga Metallindustri in 1961 as lighting designer and sales manager.

Granhaga Metallindustri is a lighting manufacturer founded in Törebuta, Sweden in 1947.

The lighting designed by Carl Thore was not only sold in Sweden, but was also exported to various parts of the world, including Denmark and the United Kingdom.
