A simple and rustic sugar pot.
This Karelia piece features a cream base with a brown ribbon that is close to black.
Karelia was a series produced between 1970 and 1986 and was designed by Anja Jaatinen-Winquist.
There are no chips and it is in good condition.
Designer
[Anja Jaatinen-Winquist]
Born in the Karelia region of Russia, which borders Finland, he graduated from the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland's capital, in 1955, before joining ARABIA.
Winquist's most famous design is the iron oxide decorated Karelia series, for which he remained designer for ARABIA until 1974.
