Brand
[FAT LAVA]
This type of pottery was produced in large quantities throughout Germany in the 1950s-1970s. Known as "FAT LAVA," it features a texture resembling molten, solidified lava . At the time, there were numerous pottery manufacturers, each selling a variety of designs. The attractive use of glazes and timeless designs are popular worldwide.
[Strehla]
It was founded in the 1820s in the town of Strehla in Saxony, and the manufacturer's name was taken from the place. After World War II, Saxony became part of East Germany and remained under communist rule until the end of the 1980s. While many East German products have a conservative feel, Strehla's products tend to have a more upbeat feel, similar to West German Fat Lava.
